What this resource is for

Brands are the retailers and companies your customers can shop with or buy gift cards from. A brand may support affiliates, gift cards, promotions or several of these.

When to use it

• Build a brand directory or search page.
• Show brand logos, descriptions and terms.
• Look up one brand by its brand-id.

Important implementation notes

• Availability varies by country, account configuration and product type.
• Do not hard-code brand information. Fetch it and refresh regularly.
• The response shape depends on your publisher type. Gift Card publishers see gift card fields, and Affiliate publishers see commission and tracking fields.
• Results are paginated at 50 per page. Follow the next link.
• A brand-id is not a promotion-id.

Common mistakes

• Sending a brand-id as promo_id when buying a gift card. This returns a 400 error. Use the promotion-id from getPromotionsList.
• Caching the catalogue indefinitely.
• Assuming every brand supports both products.
